![]() It is key to not frying your computer leaving your tundra unusuable and undriveable! Read full review. Once a again worth a buy, but i cannot stress enough doing uninstall or install without a 200 amp battery charger. Tune A, B, C you can set them to what you like. The tuner comes with 4 pre loaded tunes, trail tune, performance tune, stock tune and regular tune. Definitely a good investment and it can be even more of a benefit if your tundra is supercharged. When the Bully Dog tuner came out some time ago, the fast truck owners were super excited about finally having the opportunity to tune their rides. Rollin around 16-17 mpg on a daily and thats with even being on the gas. I have a volant intake with a throttle body spacer, blackwidow dual x pipe exhaust and my truck moves. New Computers are not cheap for these trucks by any means. I would recommend installing and uninstalling the tuner with a 200 amp or higher battery charger because you can and will fry your ECU if your battery level drops below 12.1 during install or uninstall. Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: new | Sold by: aaco85205īought this tuner for my 14' tundra, works great easy to install has a bunch of different display options for daytime and night time color schemes. For the 400$ I spent on the tuner I'm not sure if I would purchase it again. I haven't tried the economy or tow/haul tune as it takes too long to flash back and forth that I've just left the performance tune on the truck for now before the next road trip I plan to flash the economy tune to see if I gain any highway mpg. need to hook up a battery charger with at lea st 10amp every time. Flashing tunes is time consuming and tedious. I've noticed a slight mpg improvement (.5mpg), I'm betting I can get better if I stay out of the throttle. Current mods on the truck are drop in k&n filter, stock air box mod and a Catback exhaust. Not only is power delivery smoother the truck doesn't seem to have to work as hard to get up to speed. I flashed the performance tune and run 91 octane and definitely felt a difference in power. The description for the tuner states it can calibrate speedometer for tire size, but for the tundra it cannot. When a tune is applied, the tuner is mated to that specific vehicle. I purchased this tuner for my 2008 toyota tundra 5.7 specifically to recalibrate the speedometer as I bought the truck with larger tires (35") which makes the speedometer read slower than it actually is. Make sure your buddies BullyDog is not matched to his vehicle. ![]()
